Two female and four male dancers, all from different cultural backgrounds, go on a search for their own roots and discover fragments of another identity, their second ID, which is seamlessly integrated in their everyday lives. Hip-hop is not only synonymous with a certain attitude towards life for them, but also stands for certain esthetics. This production combines dance styles of contemporary culture like b-boyin?, poppin?, lockin?, new style, krumpin? and house dance with elements of traditional dances to form a powerful performance.

E-Motion comprises members of the Berlin-based B-Boy Crew Flying Steps Amigo and Benny, the Düsseldorf-based Takao Baba and Nadia Espiritu as well as Lil? Rock and Andrea Böge from Stuttgart. "2nd ID" is a collaboration with the former Forsythe dramaturg Célestine Hennermann.
